 London City Bus Tour
Saturday,  28th April at 2.00pm  
 
Enjoy a private 3-hour tour around London’s famous landmarks in one of the vintage Routemaster buses and see London’s colourful 2,000-year history.   

This iconic red bus, which is synonymous with London, has run in the city for over 50 years. The design of this bus was way ahead of its time and just right for travelling conditions in London.   It outlived much newer buses due to its flexibility, speed and build quality, only being replaced on age and cost grounds.  In fact, a modern version of the 'Routemaster' is about to be reintroduced for the 21st Century.

The tour has been carefully planned to include some of the following iconic sights such as Buckingham Palace, (the official London residence for Her Majesty, the Queen).   St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames and the Royal Parks, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the Horse Guards, the Changing of the Guard, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the City including the Bank of England and Guildhall.

The price is £45.00pp and includes qualified guide, private coach with PA system, collection and return to the conference venue.

  

 
Welcome Drinks Reception
Saturday, 28th April at 5pm - 7pm 
 
The AOP and SECO will be hosting a complimentary drinks and canapés reception at the conference venue to meet and welcome delegates and speakers to the conference venue.This event is open to full delegates and their accompanying guests. This will also be an opportunity to collect registration packs and locate the venue before the seminar begins on Sunday morning. 
 
      
                   
 
 
Afternoon Tea at the Ritz
Sunday,  29th April at 3.30pm
 
Afternoon tea in London at The Ritz is an institution in itself.  Served in the spectacular Palm Court, the choice of several varieties of tea and a delicious menu combine to make for an unforgettable afternoon.
 
The traditional English Tea Menu includes freshly cut sandwiches with smoked salmon, cucumber, egg mayonnaise, roast ham and Cheddar cheese fillings and an extensive selection of 17 different types of loose leaf tea. The finger sandwiches are served on a three tier stand, together with freshly baked apple and raisin scones with strawberry preserve and clotted Devonshire cream, followed by a delectable selection of afternoon tea cakes and pastries.
 
The dress code of The Ritz reflects the ambience and style of the different areas of the hotel. In The Ritz Restaurant and The Palm Court, gentleman are required to wear a jacket and tie; jeans and sports shoes are not permitted.
 
Tea at the Ritz will be reserved on a first come first served basis.  Later bookings will be made at alternative London 5 star tea venues such as Claridges and The Savoy.
 
The price is £45.00pp and includes taxi to the 5 star venue and afternoon English tea.

The London Eye Experience
Sunday, 29th April at 7.30pm
 
Enjoy a birds-eye view over London from a private 'pod' on the EDF London Eye.    
 
At 135 metres, it is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel giving stunning views of the capital and beyond making it an unforgettable experience.Opened for the Millennium, it took seven years and the skills of hundreds of people from five countries to make the London Eye a reality and you can see around 25 miles from the top as far as Windsor Castle on a clear day.Each rotation takes about 30 minutes, meaning a capsule travels at a stately 26cm per second, or 0.9km (0.6 miles) per hour - twice as fast as a tortoise sprinting; allowing passengers to step on and off without the wheel having to stop.  The London Eye can carry 800 passengers per revolution - equivalent to 11 London red doubled-decker buses.Take advantage of this event to gain some glorious photographs and memories of London then perhaps stay on the South Bank for dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants nearby.
 
The price is £25.00pp and includes a taxi to the London Eye and flight in a private pod.
